Orrick Adds Renewables Rising Star in Chicago

• Alejandra Garcia Earley, a project finance and tax equity advisor, joins Orrick’s market-leading Energy & Infrastructure team as a partner in Chicago.
• She reunites with leading renewables tax advisor John Eliason, who joined Orrick last year, as the firm responds to growing client demand for both renewable energy tax equity financings and transfers that allow buyers, including large public companies, to purchase tax credits directly from developers.
• Alejandra guides tax equity investors, developers, sponsors and lenders on all stages of project development through financings and brings extensive experience helping clients structure renewable energy transactions to take advantage of tax incentives.
• She joins from Greenberg Traurig and was previously in-house with Madrid-based global energy company Iberdrola, in their EPC branch.
• Alejandra is Orrick’s second Chicago hire this year, following first chair IP litigator Tim Carroll. She is the 17th partner to join Orrick’s E&I platform since the beginning of 2022, following the addition of PPA advisor Alfred Weightman in London last month.
