Orrick Advises Baidu in Its Joint Investment with Ford in Velodyne

Orrick has advised Baidu, Inc. [Nasdaq: BIDU], the leading Chinese language Internet search provider, on its investment in Velodyne LiDAR, Inc. The total combined investment from Baidu and its co-investor, Ford Motor Company [NYSE: F], was $150 million. Velodyne LiDAR, Inc. is a leading supplier of solid-state hybrid LiDAR sensor technology used in a variety of commercial applications including advanced automotive safety systems, autonomous driving, 3D mobile mapping, 3D aerial mapping and security.
