Orrick to Participate in the NYC Bar’s Artificial Intelligence Institute Program

On June 10, 2024 the New York City Bar Association’s Task Force on Digital Technologies, co-chaired by Orrick Restructuring partner Lorraine McGowen, Ed So (White & Case) and Jerome Walker (Jerome Walker PLLC), will host the City Bar’s inaugural Artificial Intelligence Institute in New York City. 

Orrick Chief Innovation Officer, Wendy Butler Curtis, will be speaking on a panel titled, “Large Language Models and Generative Artificial Intelligence”. 

This full-day, in-person CLE AI Institute, sponsored by, among others, LexisNexis and Thomson Reuters, is designed to provide much needed clarity in four key areas:

  • The Use of Artificial Intelligence in AML/CFT Compliance
  • The Use of Large Language Models and Generative Artificial Intelligence
  • The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Commerce and Finance, including in Banking, Securities, Commodities, and Insurance
  • The Use of Artificial Intelligence in the New York Judiciary
