Our Singapore team focuses on cross-border project development, finance and M&A transactions – helping clients lead the energy transition across South and Southeast Asia. It is part of a world-class Orrick energy & infrastructure platform that ranks top 3 globally for both renewables and power purchase agreements (Inspiratia, 2023).
The team includes two Chambers Band 1 projects & energy advisors and lawyers qualified in Singapore, Indonesia, India, Australia, England and Wales and the United States.
Our strengths include:
- Working on the market’s most significant renewables transactions, including solar, floating solar, geothermal, offshore and onshore wind and hydro projects, as well as conventional power, infrastructure, mining and LNG transactions.
- Pioneering the first corporate renewable PPAs, including to support data centers, across Singapore, Japan, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam.
- Helping to develop the Indonesia market, where we advise leading sponsors and lenders, including Indonesia’s state-owned energy company; top-tier sponsors from Japan, Korea and the Middle East; and key regional multilateral lenders and export-credit agencies.
- Extensive experience advising international developers, sponsors and financial institutions on India inbound transactions as well as outbound transactions by India-based companies into Asia Pacific, Europe and the United States.
Our Singapore team collaborates closely with our Tokyo team, also a recognized leader in the renewables market.
