Orrick announced today that Stephen Hall, a rising star trial lawyer, has joined our litigation team as a partner in our Boston office.
Stephen litigates high-value commercial disputes, class actions, complex fraud schemes and deceptive business practices and executive level employment matters. He has extensive experience guiding clients through internal investigations, government enforcement actions, discrimination claims and regulatory compliance matters. He has particular experience in False Claims Act cases, an increasingly active litigation area accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Stephen has served as past president of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association, and is a current member of the Council for the Boston Bar Association, serves as Treasurer for the Board of Trustees for the Boston Bar Foundation and is a board member of the ACLU of Massachusetts and Lawyers for Civil Rights. He joins from Holland & Knight.
The National Law Journal, Boston Business Journal, and Super Lawyers have recognized him as a Rising Star.
“We are excited to continue building our trial platform with a talent like Stephen,” said Elyse Echtman, co-head of the firm’s Complex Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. “Notwithstanding the remarkable times we are in, we have a full docket and look forward to adding Stephen to teams preparing for trial for clients in the life sciences and financial institutions areas and beyond.”
“I’m excited to join Orrick’s thriving litigation team and particularly to collaborate with Will Stute and be part of growing the firm’s Boston platform,” Stephen said. “Orrick’s focus on sectors, innovation and being a best place to work strikes me as the exact right combination for our times.”
Orrick launched in Boston in 2019 and has built a team focused on life sciences, corporate transactions, cyber and privacy and intellectual property litigation.
