Orrick announced today that Daniel Forester has joined the firm as a partner in its Technology Transactions practice, based in New York. He is the 6th partner addition to this practice since September. Daniel joins the firm from Davis Polk.

Daniel advises clients on IP, privacy and technology issues arising from corporate and commercial transactions, such as data and IP development, acquisition and commercialization arrangements, M&A, joint ventures, financings, restructurings and capital market offerings. He also counsels clients on an array of cybersecurity, privacy and data security initiatives.

Daniel is the latest in a series of lateral hires across the firm's Bay Area, Boston, London and Washington, D.C. offices who have joined the firm's Technology Transactions practice, including Sarah Schaedler from Kirkland, Colleen McDuffie from Arnold & Porter, Shana Solomon, formerly the GC of Velocity Sciences, David Schulman from Dechert and Faraaz Samadi from Milbank.
