Volley, a company that integrates artificial intelligence into voice-controlled gaming, has raised $55 million in financing.
Orrick represented Volley.
Volley is the leading creator of voice AI games for smart speakers, connected TVs and mobile platforms.
Using conversational AI, Volley reinvented the traditional game night, making games that can be played using only your voice. Some of the company’s top products include Song Quiz, Question of the Day, The Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!
With this new financing, Volley aims to “accelerate our development of new voice-controlled, AI-powered games” that so far have been played in 30 million homes, Volley’s co-founders said.
The financing “will allow us to invest even further in creating advanced LLM-powered non-player characters and best-in-class speech recognition,” the co-founders said. “In fact, in the last few weeks, we’ve seen the industry converge on our view that speech is the best way for consumers to interact with artificial intelligence.”
Orrick’s Josh Pollick and Michael Ruiz led the team that advised Volley. The team also included Andy Gong, and Robert Moore.
