Daeun Julie Lee is a Senior Associate in Orrick's Washington, D.C. office and a member of the Financial Services and Securities Litigation group.
Julie specializes in business litigation, representing clients across the financial and energy sectors. She has extensive experience litigating complex commercial cases at both the trial and appellate levels. Julie tailors her approach to each client’s unique needs, achieving favorable outcomes through mediation, arbitration, regulatory proceedings, and strategic negotiations.
In particular, Julie has substantial experience litigating structured finance issues for major lenders and servicers, covering a broad range of matters from consumer-protection cases to high-stakes competitor disputes.
Julie also advises Orrick’s renewable energy and infrastructure clients on a variety of issues, including PPAs, development and construction claims, and component supply and performance matters.
Additionally, Julie represents audit firms in regulatory proceedings initiated by the SEC and PCAOB, conducting internal investigations, liaising with regulators, and managing risk and liability in sensitive situations.
Prior to joining Orrick, Julie was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Dana M. Sabraw of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
