Cacique is an associate in the Energy & Infrastructure group in Orrick's Houston office.

Cacique counsels  global energy companies, private equity funds and renewables developers on a wide range of transactions in the energy industry with a particular focus on renewable energy and oil & gas. He represents his clients in connection with the development, repowering, acquisition, and divestiture of wind, solar and energy storage projects, and the acquisition and divestiture of upstream oil and gas projects, the formation of joint ventures, and other corporate governance and legal due diligence matters.

Cacique also serves as a Major in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and is a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom.

    • An energy company in the disposition of an interest in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.
    • An energy company in an exchange of upstream U.S. Gulf of Mexico assets and related joint venture and development arrangements.
    • A private equity backed upstream oil and gas company in the divestiture of its assets in the San Juan Basin.
    • A propane and distillates distribution and marketing company in the acquisition of a retail propane and refined fuels business in Virginia.
    • A propane and distillates distribution and marketing company in the acquisition of one of the largest independent propane distribution platforms in the western United States.

    • An electric utility company in the financing of a carbon capture facility in North Dakota.
    • A global energy company with the negotiation of an engineering, procurement and construction agreement in Florida.
    • An alternative energy company in the financing of several wind and solar generation facilities in Texas.  
    • A solar energy developer in the negotiation of a power purchase agreement for the sale of power from a solar power generation facility with storage in California to a utility offtaker.
    • A renewable energy developer in the negotiation of a power purchase agreement for the sale of power from a wind power generation facility with storage in Oregon to a utility offtaker.
