Virtual (Teams)The UK Sanctions and Export Control Society, a national chapter of the International Sanctions Society will host webinar on 13 December with guest speaker Emily Johnson, Head of Engagement at the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI). OFSI is responsible for ensuring that financial sanctions are properly understood, implemented and enforced in the United Kingdom.
Emily will delve into OFSI’s crucial role, its impact, key highlights from the year, and OFSI’s strategic priorities for 2024. Emily will be introduced by UK Society Directors Jim Huish and Orrick’s Adam Rizzo. The session will be followed by a live Q&A, providing an opportunity for participants to engage directly with Emily.
About Emily Johnson
Emily leads OFSI’s domestic and international engagement with industry and government, oversees all industry guidance, and manages OFSI’s parliamentary strategy. Her experience includes serving as Head of HM Treasury (HMT) Campaigns, leading external campaigns and strategic communications for HMT, as well as holding communications roles in various HMG departments and the private sector before entering government.
