Orrick is hosting the MIT Sloan Club of DC and MIT Club of Washington, DC’s event, “The Latest on Disaster Management in a World of Increasing Vulnerability”, in our Washington D.C. office on Thursday, January 31st. Partner Bob Lawrence will be moderating a summit panel about the latest developments in disaster management and urban resilience, including countering the impact of climate change. Panelists will include Ede Ijjasz-Vásquez, Senior Director of World Bank’s Social, Urban, Rural, Resilience Global Practice; Elizabeth Petheo, Associate Principal & Washington, D.C. representative for Miyamoto International, Inc.; and Rob Nachtrieb, a Senior Lecturer of System Dynamics for MIT Sloan’s School of Management.
