Orrick is the only law firm named to Fortune’s 2016 list of 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials, which was released today. From a team oriented culture to an industry leading parental leave policy and flexible work arrangement options to student loan refinancings, Orrick offers benefits that Millennials value – and the Fortune results demonstrate it. Earlier this year, Fortune selected Orrick as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For, a top 50 Best Workplace for College Graduates and a top 30 Best Workplace to Retire From.
“With fewer of the best students choosing law schools and fewer law graduates choosing large firm practice, the war for talent is our top priority,” said Mitch Zuklie, Orrick chairman and CEO. “We set a strategic goal of being the best law firm in the world to work for. And so we are thrilled to be the only law firm to qualify for Fortune’s list of top companies for millennials.”
In making Fortune’s 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials, Orrick bested hundreds of companies that were evaluated based on anonymous survey questions exploring hiring, perks, benefits, camaraderie and general workplace practices. Fortune quoted a member of the Orrick team as saying: “Orrick treats its employees as individuals and is willing to assist and support employees as necessary to retain talent.”
“One of the great things about Orrick is we are really committed to listening to what millennials value and adapting our culture,” said Orrick’s Chief Talent Officer Siobhan Handley. “It's caused us to get a lot more creative in our programs -- and I think it's benefitted everyone on our team, regardless of generation.”
Earlier this year Orrick made the 2016 Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For and in June Orrick was named a top 30 Best Workplace to Retire From.
