Orrick Partner Tom McConville Appointed to California Judgeship

Congratulations to partner Tom McConville, appointed today to the Orange County Superior Court bench by California Gov. Jerry Brown.

Until recently leader of Orrick’s Orange County office, Tom has been a key member of the firm’s white collar and litigation practice for the past 11 years. Prior to joining Orrick, Tom spent 10 years as a federal prosecutor, including serving as deputy chief of the Orange County branch of the Central District’s U.S. attorney’s office.

Tom handled numerous high-profile matters at Orrick, and was recognized by California Lawyer as one of its California Lawyers of the Year in 2012 for his trial work on behalf of MGA in its dispute with Mattel over the Bratz doll line.
