Jonathan Guy Named to Washingtonian Top Lawyers List

Congratulations to Orrick’s Jonathan Guy on his selection to Washingtonian’s Top Lawyers list. Jonathan is one of only 40 recognized by the publication as Washington’s top legal talent for bankruptcy law.

Washingtonian's selection process consists of peer surveys, independent research and reporting, and evaluations of notable successes. Earlier this year, Jonathan was lead trial counsel on the Orrick team that advised Statoil on its acquisition with Total of a majority interest in the North Platte discovery in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico owned by Cobalt, which filed for Chapter 11 in 2017. He was also lead on Orrick teams that scored critical victories in an environmental case, halting illegal development in protected areas of the Chesapeake Bay, and a civil rights “fines and fees” debtors’ prison case in New Orleans.
