Orrick announced today that Tech Transactions advisor Colleen McDuffie has joined the firm as a partner in Washington, D.C. Colleen is the third addition to Orrick’s Tech Transactions team this month, following the arrivals of Life Sciences licensing advisor Shana Solomon in Boston and technology transactions rising star Faraaz Samadi in London. Colleen joins from Arnold & Porter.

Colleen focuses on helping companies negotiate the intellectual property transactions and complex commercial agreements that are at the heart of their innovation strategies. She has deep experience in the mobility technologies space, from clean fuel technologies to connected vehicles, and has worked extensively with Toyota on IP and technology transactions matters. Colleen also has extensive experience in semiconductor design and fabrication, satellites and space technologies, telecommunications and pharmaceuticals.
Colleen supports companies at all stages, from startups to global leaders, on technology license and development agreements, strategic alliances, data and cloud computing arrangements, and other technology- and IP-driven agreements. In addition, she provides due diligence counseling on IP and technology assets in corporate mergers, acquisitions and IPOs.
