Orrick Advised Upfront Ventures and Footprint Coalition on Ynsect's $372 Million Extended Investment Round

Orrick advised leading U.S. investors Upfront Ventures and Footprint Coalition in connection with Ynsect's $372 million capital raising extension.

This new round of financing, launched in January 2019 and initially set at $125 million (€106 million), has been extended to $372 million. Since its creation in 2011, the company has successfully completed several rounds of financing for a total amount to $425 million.

This funding round will enable Ynsect, a French FoodTech company that specializes in the production of insect-based proteins for animal feed and fertilizers, to increase its development in Asia and North America.

Orrick's team included partner Benjamin Cichostepski and associate Vincent Babin.
