“We are thrilled to welcome Vic as we continue to build out our world-class team in London and Europe, working closely with our team in the U.S.,” said Orrick’s London Office Leader Mark Beeley. “The role of the CMA and other competition authorities will only increase in an AI-powered tech ecosystem, and Vic will be a key member of the multidimensional team serving our high-growth company and investor clients.”

“Orrick’s globally integrated tech platform is built for this moment in the market,” Vic said. “The firm acts for the most exciting AI, tech and fintech clients globally, and I look forward to collaborating closely with my new colleagues to help these companies scale, innovate and navigate a fast-changing regulatory environment.”

For eight consecutive years, Orrick has been the No. 1 most active law firm in venture capital both in the UK and across Europe. Orrick’s UK and Europe tech team closed more than 350 growth financings raising $7.2 billion+ in 2023, including for European leaders such as Mistral AI, Stripe, Butternut Box, Graphcore and Sorare. The team has worked on a string of landmark M&A transactions, particularly in the AI space, including SAP’s recently announced $1.5 billion acquisition of Israel’s WalkMe, BeReal’s €500 million acquisition by Voodoo and Egress’s acquisition by KnowBe4.
