Octopus Energy Generation, on behalf of its Sky Renewables fund, acquired two recently operational solar projects, with a combined capacity of 80 MW in the Indre and Charente Maritime regions, from renewable energy company BayWa r.e.

Launched in 2016, the Octopus Energy Group is a global player in renewable energies. Headquartered in London, the group is present in 27 countries across the globe and operates across the entire energy value chain. The Octopus Energy Generation division invests in, builds and flexibly manages new renewable energy production facilities. It manages a project portfolio worth 8.4 billion euros, one of the largest in Europe. The Octopus Energy Group supplies green energy to 9 million homes worldwide.
This acquisition enables Octopus to strengthen its position in the French renewable energy market, surpassing the milestone of managing 500 MW of green energy across more than 30 assets (wind farms and solar power plants), which are either operational or under construction throughout France.
