Maria advises clients on corporate transactions with a focus on private equity.

She acts on corporate transactions including leveraged buy-outs, management buy-outs, minority participations and expansion or growth financings as well as M&A transactions, often with cross-border aspects.

Before joining Orrick, she had been an associate in the private equity group of a U.S. headquartered law firm. As part of her legal clerkship, Maria worked for another U.S. law firm and a leading German law firm, among others.

    • CFGI, a portfolio company of Carlyle and CVC Capital Partners, on the acquisition of major independent German non-audit financial advisory firm PAS Financial Advisory AG*;
    • Chinese tech company on the majority acquisition of the Germany-based operator of a leading European B2B market platform from a private equity investor*;
    • Funds advised and managed by Oaktree on the sale of its majority interests in LifeFit Group, a leading German health and fitness platform, to Waterland*;
    • Advent International on multi-billion exit from European SaaS property management service group Aareon, the bidding process, negotiations and its reinvestment alongside TPG and CDPQ*;
    • North American large private equity fund on cross-border secondary transactions between two fund generations*.
