With extensive experience in both private practice and in-house roles, he expertly guides clients through every phase of major projects. From site acquisition and development to construction, operations, and dispute resolution, John ensures a seamless project lifecycle.

Over the past decade, John has played a pivotal role in numerous multi-billion dollar projects and has significant experience in the wind, energy storage, solar, and liquefied natural gas sectors. His deep industry knowledge and strategic insights make him a trusted partner for clients navigating complex energy and infrastructure challenges.

John currently advises borrowers, sponsors, contractors and other market participants on complex project finance, project development, capital market and corporate transactions, primarily in the energy and infrastructure sectors.  

  • Infrastructure

    • A consortium in its bid to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the automated people mover at Los Angeles International Airport.
    • The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey in connection with the privatization of the Central Terminal Building (Terminal B) and related facilities at LaGuardia Airport (Project Finance International's (PFI) 2016 Americas Transportation Deal of the Year; IJ Global's 2016 North American Airport Deal of the Year).
    • A consortium in connection with its bid and selection to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the light rail Purple Line project in Maryland (P3 Awards' 2016 Best Transport and Aviation Project; IJ Global's 2016 North America Rail Deal of the Year).
    • IFM Investors Pty Ltd in its acquisition of the concessionaire operating and maintaining the Indiana Toll Road (PFI’s2015 Americas Transport Deal of the Year).

    Energy

    • A major private equity fund in the acquisition of 49% cash equity interest in two 230 MW wind power projects in Texas.
    • A leading investor in the securitization of revenues from green municipal tax credit bonds.
    • A project developer in the refinancing of tax equity and debt for wind assets in Nebraska and Kansas.
