Alex is a member of Orrick’s Energy and Infrastructure team.

Alex represents project sponsors, developers, and private equity investors on a wide range of transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors with a particular focus on renewable energy matters. He regularly advises clients on the development, construction, operation, purchase and disposition of solar, battery storage, wind, biomass, waste-to-energy, and other renewable energy projects.

Alex’s experience encompasses the full range of agreements for projects, including those related to engineering, procurement and construction; equipment supply; operations and maintenance; asset management; long-term services; off-take; interconnection; mergers and acquisitions; and public-private partnerships.

    Project Development

    • A leading project developer in connection with the negotiation of an EPC agreement for a 274 MW solar project in Ohio.
    • A global energy company in connection with the negotiation of an EPC agreement, O&M agreement, and shared facilities agreement for a 225 MW solar project in Texas.
    • A private equity firm in connection with the negotiation of EPC agreements, equipment supply agreements, O&M agreements, and asset management agreements for a 700 MW portfolio of battery storage projects in Texas.
    • A global chemical company in connection with the negotiation of an EPC agreement for a carbon capture sequestration facility in Illinois.
    • A utility affiliate in connection with the negotiation of an EPC agreement and O&M agreement for an RNG facility in Georgia.
    • Various developers in power purchase and other long-term offtake agreements, including physically and financially settled transactions, with both utility and corporate offtakers for projects across the United States with a combined capacity of over 600 MW.

    • A global energy company in connection with the acquisition of a 205 MW development-stage solar project in Texas.
    • A leading project developer in connection with the sale of a 220 MW solar plus storage project in Arizona.
