Chris advises clients in international arbitration under the rules of various institutions such as the ICC and LCIA, as well as in commercial litigation and employment disputes in England and Wales.

Chris is a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales with experience acting for and against States, commercial parties and individuals in commercial arbitration and litigation. He often works on cross-border disputes, spanning the UK, Canada, Peru, Brazil, Romania, Italy and France.

    • Acting for an energy infrastructure construction contractor in a dispute with a subcontractor over delay and costs on a major LNG project.
    • Representing a sovereign state in ICC arbitration, defending a claim brought under a forged contract.
    • Acting for a manufacturer of marine gearsets in an international arbitration over mechanical failures aboard vessels.
    • Acting for a group of investors in a European Investor-State renewable energy dispute.
    • Advising a client in respect of a claim in defamation.
    • Acting for the purchaser of a European industrial facility found to have unforeseen asbestos issues.
    • Advising a claimants’ funder in a major international class-action claim before the UK courts.
