Orrick’s Mike Delikat and Renee Phillips will speak at the Practising Law Institute’s Corporate Whistleblowing in 2019 Program.

This program will offer expert insights into recent whistleblower developments that have shaped the current risk landscape in this rapidly evolving area. Leading whistleblower law experts, including current and former regulators, will provide in-depth perspectives on recent regulatory and legal developments, including the current and future direction of the federal whistleblower bounty and protection programs, what to expect in regulatory enforcement developments in the coming year, and best practices in responding to whistleblower reports. The program will also review the key ethical considerations for attorneys involved in internal investigations of whistleblower complaints, whether as counsel conducting the investigation for either the company or its board, counsel representing the whistleblower who precipitates an investigation, or counsel representing an individual accused of misconduct.
