Congratulations to our client Dream Games, a mobile gaming company based in Istanbul, on its $155 million Series B financing round – the largest Series B financing in Turkish history. Co-led by Index Ventures and Makers Fund, the round also included Balderton Capital, IVP and Kora. This financing brings Dream Games’ valuation to $1 billion – making it the latest company in Turkey to achieve unicorn status.
Dream Games’ puzzle game “Royal Match,” which launched globally in March 2021, currently sits in the top-20 grossing games in the US, UK and Germany with 6 million monthly active users and $20 million/month in revenues from in-game purchases (not ads).
The Orrick team advising Dream Games was led by James Connor and includes Heidi Wardle and Viv Holyoake. They worked alongside a team led by Emre Ozer at Gen, Temizer & Ozer (part of Kinstellar) who provided local law Turkish advice. Orrick previously advised Dream Games on its $50 million Series A round in February.
