Orrick’s Mike Delikat and Jill Rosenberg are serving on a New York State Bar Association’s Task Force on Advancing Diversity launched in response to the Supreme Court’s decision on affirmative action in college admissions.

The task force’s goal is to find ways consistent with the Supreme Court decision “to foster an integrated, not a segregated, America,” said former Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson.

Johnson chairs the task force with former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and Brad Karp, chair of Paul, Weiss. They will serve with the chief legal officers of six corporations, five New York judges, the deans of Columbia and NYU law schools, 14 law firm chairs and prominent judges, academics and lawyers.

The task force will develop strategies for businesses and universities to consider, said Richard Lewis, president of the New York State Bar Association.

“We are bringing together the brightest legal minds in New York and the nation to help guide colleges, businesses and government entities through this time of uncertainty,” he said.
