Patricia provides substantive knowledge in the defense of benefits litigation matters, has substantial experience with the employee benefit aspects of sales and acquisitions of businesses and is well-versed in the Affordable Care Act and HIPAA.
Patricia regularly advises general counsel, executive management, CEOs, boards of directors, retirement and health plan committees and key leadership of Fortune 500 companies on complex questions and issues regarding the operation of their domestic and international employee benefit plans and compliance with federal and state law.
Before joining the firm, Patricia acted as Senior Manager of National Employee Benefits at Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and formerly served as Senior Counsel-Benefits and Executive Compensation at AirTouch Communications, Inc. (now Vodafone).
Patricia also acted as Legislation Counsel on the Joint Committee on Taxation within the United States Congress working extensively on the Clinton health care proposal and other benefits legislation. Prior to the Joint Committee, Patricia was an associate at Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro (now Pillsbury Winthrop).

Laura’s practice focuses on the executive compensation and employee benefits aspects of domestic and cross-border public and private mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, divestitures, IPOs, minority investments and other corporate transactions. She also regularly advises on the design, taxation, disclosure, negotiation, implementation and ongoing administration of equity and cash incentive programs, deferred compensation plans, severance and other change in control and retention arrangements for both public and private companies, including private equity backed companies. His practice focuses on reorganizations, collective redundancies. He notably advised key players of the Financial, Metal, Food and Beverages, Pharmaceutical, Technology, Leisure and Music Industries in implementing economic dismissals and voluntary departures. He also assists these clients with employee representation and collective bargaining and sensitive individual cases.
Emmanuel has a strong proficiency in collective litigation as well as criminal litigation and currently handles a number of sensitive cases arising from works council and health and safety committee information consultation procedure, professional elections, collective bargaining agreements and employees performance appraisal system.
With a long-standing experience on landmark M&A, he regularly supports HR Directors in dealing with works council information and consultation procedures and transfer of employees triggered by such complex projects, helping them achieving their strategic objectives.
