Orrick Promotes 16 to Partnership

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP (Orrick) announced today the admission of 16 lawyers to the partnership, effective January 1, 2015.

Orrick's new partners include eight corporate partners, who focus on technology companies, mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and private equity; six litigators, including intellectual property litigators; and two finance lawyers.  The new partners are based in five United States (US) offices, as well as China, Japan, France, Germany and Italy.

Connie focuses on private equity, venture capital investments and M&A in the Greater China region and internationally.  She is qualified in Hong Kong and England and Wales and received her LLB, Postgraduate Certificate in Laws and LLM from the University of Hong Kong.

Benjamin Cichostepski

Paris

Ben focuses on the representation of high growth technology companies, their founders and investors.  His practice includes corporate counseling, formation, financing, strategic transactions and exit transactions (M&A – IPO).  He also regularly represents venture capital firms.  He graduated from the University Paris II Panthéon Assas (Magistère de Juriste d’Affaires, DESS-DJCE, DEA de Droit Comparé) and earned an LLM from Harvard Law School.

Marco focuses on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, commercial contracts and corporate governance matters for global companies and financial institutions.  He is scientific coordinator of the legal area of NIBI - Master in Business Internationalization promoted by Camera di Commercio di Milano (Chamber of Commerce of Milan).  He helps teach International Agreements and Joint Ventures at Bocconi University in Milan.  He has a Masters of Laws Degree from Business School of Il Sole 24 Ore in Milan and a JD from Università degli Studi di Trento.

Jason advises both public and private companies on compensation and benefits issues in the context of M&A and IPO transactions and provides ongoing compensation and benefits counseling to companies in a variety of industries, tax exempt organizations and governmental entities.  He obtained his JD from the University of Notre Dame Law School and his LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.  He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army.

Amanda advises private and public technology companies in connection with M&A transactions, venture financings, securities law matters, and corporate governance, as well as restructuring and integrations.  She serves as a mentor with the TechWomen program, the US Department of State initiative to support the next generation of women leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.  She obtained a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law, an MA from Johns Hopkins University (SAIS) and a BA from Northwestern University.
