German: Orrick berät FormFactor bei dem Verkauf der deutschen Tochter FRT Metrology an Camtek
FormFactor, a leading provider of essential test and measurement technologies, has entered into an agreement with Camtek for Camtek to acquire FormFactor’s Germany subsidiary, FRT GmbH, for $100 million.

Founded in 1993, California-based FormFactor seeks to help “customers solve the advanced test and measurement challenges of the broader semiconductor industry.” The company generated $770 million in revenue in 2021 and serves customers in Asia, Europe, and North America.
FRT GmbH is a leading supplier in the area of 3D surface metrology for research and production. The company is headquartered in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany.
Israel-based Camtek is a market leader of inspection and 3D metrology in the semiconductor industry. With eight offices around the world, Camtek provides tailor-made solutions in line with customers’ requirements.
FormFactor CEO Mike Slessor said in a statement that he is excited for the opportunity FRT “has to leverage Camtek’s established scale and expertise in inspection and metrology to deliver the next stage of growth from this business.
“We expect this transaction to maximize present and future FormFactor shareholder value by realizing a robust return on our investment while allowing us to focus our resources on strategic initiatives and industry-leading businesses where we have market leadership and significant scale.”
