Orrick’s Shinsuke Yakura and Haruka Matsumoto co-authored an article on FCPA trends and countermeasures during COVID-19, based on A Resource Guide to the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Second Edition in the May 2021 issue of Overseas Investment and Loans, a magazine published by the Japan Institute of Overseas Investment (JOI).
With companies being exposed to unprecedented compliance risks amidst the pandemic, the article provides an overview and scope of FCPA, as well as addressing risk control for Japanese companies based on the updated FCPA Resource Guide published in July 2020.
