With Japanese and U.S. law capabilities, our Tokyo team has helped pioneer the Japanese renewables market, including advising on some of the first and largest wind and solar projects in the market. Together with our Singapore team, our Tokyo practice is helping clients lead the energy transition across Asia, drawing on our global knowledge in renewables, PPAs and carbon removal.

We have advised on some of the first renewables PPAs, including to support data centers, across Singapore, Japan, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam.

Our Japan-qualified bengoshi, educated and with practice experience in Japan and abroad, work closely with our Japanese-speaking U.S.-qualified lawyers as well as our global teams.

Our Tokyo office also includes IP practitioners who work with our market-leading IP litigation practice – named an American Lawyer IP Litigation Department of the Year finalist in 2023 – and represent innovators in their most important patent disputes.
