Joanna Pak is a Senior Associate in the New York office and a member of the M&A and Private Equity Group.

Joanna advises public and private companies in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining Orrick, Joanna was a corporate associate in the New York office of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP.

    • Advised Aptean, a global provider of industry-specific software, on its proposed take-private acquisition of Logility Supply Chain Solutions, a leading provider of AI-first supply chain management solutions.
    • Advised EPAM Systems (NYSE: EPAM), a leading global provider of digital engineering, cloud and AI-enabled transformation services, in its acquisition of NEORIS, a global digital accelerator, from Advent International and Cemex.
    • Advised SAP (NYSE: SAP), a global provider in enterprise applications and business AI, on its take-private acquisition of WalkMe, an Israel-based provider of digital adoption platform innovations and solutions.
    • Advised SFJ Pharmaceuticals, a developer of a pharmaceutical product registration platform intended to offer clinical development and registration of pharmaceutical products, in its acquisition of the Bentracimab drug program from PhaseBio Pharmaceuticals.
    • Advised PCF Insurance Services, a provider of insurance brokerage services, in its management-led buyout and in securing a $500 million preferred equity investment co-led by Carlyle and HGGC, with significant investment participation from Blue Owl and Crescent Capital.
    • Advised Ryzac (d/b/a Codecademy), a developer of an online educational platform offering coding classes and tutorials, in its $525 million acquisition by Skillsoft (NYSE: SKIL), a provider of educational software.
    • Advised Nextworld, a developer of a cloud-based ERP platform, in its acquisition of Data Systems International (d/b/a Cloud Inventory), a developer of mobile-first and cloud supply chain software designed to help companies most effectively manage and move their materials and inventory.
    • Advised Peugeot in connection with its $52 billion merger with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to create the world’s fourth largest automotive manufacturer.*
    • Advised National Grid (LSE: NG; NYSE: NGG), a multinational electricity and gas utility company, in connection with its £7.8 billion acquisition of Western Power Distribution, the UK’s largest electricity distribution business, and its $3.8 billion sale of The Narragansett Electric Company, a Rhode Island-based subsidiary.*
    • Advised Synthomer (LSE: SYNT), a UK-based specialty chemical company, in connection with its $824 million take-private acquisition of OMNOVA Solutions, a global manufacturer of emulsion polymers, specialty chemicals and surfaces.*
