Deutsch: Orrick berät Persico S.p.A. bei zwei Automotive M&A-Transaktionen in Deutschland
Orrick has advised Italian Persico S.p.A. on two M&A transactions in Germany with which the company is significantly expanding its presence in Germany.
On the one hand Persico has taken over the independent plastics technology division of bielomatik Leuze GmbH + Co KG, based in Neuffen and active in particular for the automotive industry. The acquisition of the Plastics Technology division of bielomatik Leuze with the associated assets and rights was effected by way of an asset deal and represents an important contribution to the continuation of the business activities of bielomatik Leuze after the Baden-Württemberg company went into insolvency in the fall of 2019.
On the other hand Persico secured the essential assets and the technological know-how of the automotive division of Kiefel GmbH from the Freilassing, Bavaria based company with a further cross-border asset deal. This includes plastics processing machines, patents and industrial property rights of the mechanical engineering company and specialist in the field of plastics processing.
The second transaction of the Bergamo-based Persico Group was carried out via the new German subsidiary Persico Automotive GmbH. The closing of both transactions is subject to the usual conditions.
The Persico Group has a broad international base and is mainly active in the automotive and shipping industries. It offers a wide range of products, automation systems and services worldwide.
