Orrick announced today that Marsha Mogilevich has joined the firm’s Capital Markets practice as a partner in New York. She is the 3rd capital markets rising star to join the firm this year, following Mark Mushkin from Cravath in New York and Edward Dyson from Cooley in London. Marsha joins the firm from Kirkland & Ellis. PE advisor Leah Recht also joined the firm from Kirkland & Ellis this year in San Francisco.
“Marsha is a highly talented capital markets advisor, who arrives as our capital markets practice is running at an unprecedented pace, with all three private-company exit doors wide open. Her experience advising companies and their financial sponsors on cutting-edge transactions in today’s dynamic deal environment will immediately benefit our practice and clients. We're thrilled to bring Marsha on board as we continue to grow to meet client demand,” said Matthew Gemello, leader of Orrick’s global Corporate practice.
Named a leading advisor to companies in 2020 by SPACInsider, Orrick’s Capital Markets team helped tech companies, such as Asana, Fisker Automotive, Luminar Technologies, Clover Health, SOC Telemed and Volta Industries go public over the past nine months.
Marsha advises sponsors, companies and underwriters on a wide variety of complex securities and financing transactions, including IPOs and other equity offerings, high yield and investment-grade notes offerings, tender offers, exchange offers, mergers and acquisitions and de-SPAC transactions. She also advises on corporate governance and SEC compliance and disclosure matters.
“I’m excited to join Orrick and be a part of its tremendous global platform, collaborating with its exceptional and high-performing transactional team in advising technology businesses on cutting-edge transactions,” said Marsha.
