Orrick recently advised longtime client Parkopedia, a global provider of connected car services and mobility data aggregation, in completing its sale to EasyPark Group.
Parkopedia provides digital parking services that facilitate online parking reservations through a mobile application. Based in London, the company offers real-time space availability, cost estimation, and seamless online payments, enabling drivers to find and secure parking conveniently.
EasyPark Group is a Stockholm-based mobile parking reservation and payment transaction software developer that serves businesses, parking operators and property owners. The company's mobile payment platform provides software for paid parking services and spot reservations, helping clients save time and money by finding and managing parking and electric vehicle charging.
The acquisition of Parkopedia builds on a decade-long collaboration with EasyPark Group to deliver a fully integrated driver experience. For drivers and automakers, the integration will enable the group to serve a wider range of vehicles and customer profiles. For cities, the acquisition provides data-driven insights to shape mobility and transportation policies and improve the efficient use of urban spaces.
