Los Angeles

Our Los Angeles office is home to a team of more than 65 lawyers. We counsel financial institutions, investment funds, municipalities and governments, the media industry, SoCal’s startup community, energy companies and utilities.

We focus on three core areas:

Litigation, with an emphasis on complex commercial litigation, white collar defense, securities litigation, employment, intellectual property and entertainment.
Technology, including counseling venture funds and startups in the emerging SoCal tech scene from our space in Santa Monica. We act for exciting local ventures like eHarmony, FabFitFun, Fame & Partners, Clutter, and Inspire Energy.
Finance, with a particular focus on real estate. We act for leading international investment funds, fund sponsors, real estate advisors, developers, public and private pension funds, REITs, investment banks, and institutional lenders in all phases of real estate investment. In addition, our LA finance team counsels on private and public financing, structured finance, project finance and restructuring transactions.

Our Office and Our Community

Our office is located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. We are within walking distance of the Staples Center, L.A. Live, the Los Angeles Convention Center, the Grammy Museum, the Broad Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

We’re active in our community and regularly partner with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and the Los Angeles Mission Homeless Shelter. Through our partnership with the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s (LACBA) Domestic Violence Project, we provide pro bono support to individuals seeking advice and in some cases restraining orders against their abusers. We also partner with the LACBA Veterans Legal Services Project.
